About AMplify
Amplify Collective is a creative community of artists based in Tkaronto/Toronto. Together we provide support for one another and create work that we hope can inspire others to push back against the labels of society. We believe that together we can enact real changes in our communities through art and community engagement.
Amplify has been featured at the ROM, Harbourfront Centre, MMVA’s, Pride, Fashion Art Toronto, Geary Art Crawl, Rendezvous with Madness and more!
At its inception the focus of Amplify was costuming and wearable art. Over the years their work has expanded to include: curation, event planning, education & most recently large scale installation.
Art + Curation + Education + Collaboration
Creative Director & Founder Allie Amplify is a Black MAD artist, activist and educator, with a diverse background in communications and the arts. She teaches workshops about marketing for artists and small business owners, and supports arts organizations in their communications design.
Allie’s practice, although it takes many forms, has always been centered around community advocacy and education.
